Peter vieraili ensi kertaa
Suomessa FinPUG-seminaarissa syksyllä 2004 Forssassa. Tällöin hänen aiheinaan olivat “DWP - An Ultra Thin OERA Implementation”
ja “Creating a Dynamic .NET client for
OpenEdge 10”. Esitykset perustuivat kokemuksiin DWP (Dynamic
WebClient Platform) sovelluskehyksestä, jonka ohjelmoinnissa Peterillä oli
keskeinen rooli. Ohjelmistotuote palkittiin
monilla eri foorumeilla. Nyt Peter on
tuoteriippumaton Progress-konsultti ja toiminimenä on Future Proof Software!

ystävällinen sovellus, jota voi pyöräyttää vaikka kauempaakin internetin
kautta. Siinä sivussa syntyvät mm.
tietokannan eheyssääntöjen tarkistukset virheilmoituksineen ja käyttöohjeita. Runkona käytetään Open Edge
Reference Architecturea ja itse väsättyjä WAF-osia. Tarvikkeina käytetään Progress 4GL kieltä, Open Edge tietokantaa,
ProDataSettejä, SkinClientia ... Työkaluina ovat mm. PCase, Open

Maps Enabling Your Progress Application (Peter van Dam) In this fun
presentation Peter will introduce the Ajax technology that you can use to
integrate Google Maps into your Progress application. After explaining some
basic Ajax and Google Maps API concepts, Peter will show how to create an
Ajax front-end that can talk to your Progress database. Then he will show how
to use Google Maps to geocode your existing addresses and create an interactive
Google Maps web application from these components. |
